Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

Growing up, these were my favorite cookies! They still are! I was always a happy camper when I came home from school and smelled these fresh out of the oven!


Beth here! You should have seen Ryan's face when he ate a cookie from the first batch! He truly was a happy camper!


 

WHOLE WHEAT SNICKERDOODLES

makes about 24 cookies


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil

  • 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 2 3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour

  • 2 tsp Cream of Tartar

  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

  • 1/4 tsp Salt


Cinnamon Sugar for Rolling:

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • 2 Tbsp Sugar


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F

  2. Combine oil, sugar, eggs in a bowl until well combined.

  3. Add flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Mix until combined.

  5. Roll the dough into balls of about 1 Tbsp.

  6. Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.

  7. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
