I love hummus! It's the perfect spread for a sandwich or dip for fresh veggies. Not only is it delicious, but nutritious as well!
If you don't have something, no problem, just make with that you can and it'll be great! Don't have Black Beans, use Chickpeas or White Beans. Want a Taco Hummus? Mix in some Taco Seasoning and cilantro.
BLACK BEAN HUMMUS
INGREDIENTS:
1 16 oz can Black Beans, rinsed
1 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds, crushed
2 cloves Garlic
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Parsley
1 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp ground Cumin
Salt and Pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
Puree until smooth.
Serve with veggies, pita bread, chips, spread on a sandwich, or with Chickpea Cakes.
