30 Minute Rolls

These are legendary. If you know Beth, you know about these rolls. Family, kids I grew up with, mission companions, roommates, boys... they all know about these rolls. They are so quick and easy, not to mention delicious!


 

30 MINUTE ROLLS

makes 12 rolls


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Cup + 2 Tbsp. warm Water

  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil

  • 2 Tbsp. Yeast

  • 1/4 Cup Sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp. Salt

  • 1 Egg

  • 3 1/2 Cups Flour

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine water, oil, sugar, & yeast and let sit for 15 minutes until frothy.

  2. Mix in egg, salt, and flour.

  3. Knead until soft ball forms.

  4. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes.

  5. Shape into 12 balls and place on a greased baking sheet.

  6. Cover and let rise for 10 minutes.

  7. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes at 400°F or until golden brown.


*These rolls can vary from dense and hearty to light and fluffy. Adjust the rising time accordingly.


DENSE & HEARTY: leave rising times as listed

LIGHT & FLUFFY: Rise for 30 minutes at both rises in step 4 and 6.
