Growing up, we'd occasionally make these and they are sooooo yummy! I'd help my Mom make them and we would all eat them as a family so they bring back a lot of good memories. They are like a fudgey-peanut buttery-rice krispy treat! Hope you enjoy these sweet treats.
SCOTCHAROOS
INGREDIENTS:
3 Tbsp Butter
1 10-oz bag Marshmallows
1 tsp Vanilla
½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
6 cups Cheerios or Rice Krispies
1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup Butterscotch Chips
INSTRUCTIONS:
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Over low heat, melt butter in a large pot.
Add marshmallows and stir until almost completely melted.
Stir in peanut butter.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Add Cheerios and mix until the Cherrios are completely covered in marshmallow mixture.
Spread into baking dish. Use a spatula, sprayed with cooking spray, to spread and flatten into the dish.
Microwave chocolate and butterscotch chips in a glass bowl for 30 seconds in microwave.
Stir then continue microwaving for 15 seconds at a time and stirring until completely melted.
Spread over Cheerios bars; allow to set before cutting into squares. Store in an airtight container.
